Last night I shot a little bar’s opening event (Sutra Lounge & Bar in Hartford, CT!) and to say I had an amazing time would be an understatement. Met a lot of incredible people, drank a lot of booze, and danced my ass off. More events are on their way so if you are in the Hartford area keep an ear open for our next event!
I just got my replacement camera today because my first one got broken beyond repair. I am, today, taking a vow to take a picture every single day. at least one. I vow to feel venerable about my photos and take chances. Who ever knew one (seemingly) insignificant event could change my perspective on the one thing I loved, the one thing I lost myself in entirely. At some point I know I felt a complete passion for and control over my photography. Now a days I am more scared of a camera then compelled by it. I don’t find myself proud of my work the way I used to. I don’t find myself eager to upload photos and go through and edit and share my photos with everyone. I am determined to re-spark my passion. I want to make this a huge part of my life again.

This photo is of the discovered equipment of Bill Biggart, a photojournalist who lost his life on 9/11.

I have to work tomorrow then Tuesday Sarah and I are off to DC to visit Mag until Saturday! I can’t put into words how excited I am. Washington DC is one of my favorite cities. Not only do I get to take a load off for 5 days, I get to see one of my best friends whose been in New Zeland since February, and I am taking this as a huge opportunity to wipe the dust of my camera and go nuts with my shutter finger. I can’t wait to explore with these beautiful ladies and capture it along the way.
